Recycled and Recyclable Toner Cartridges

These days there is every reason for businesses to choose eco-minded companies to supply their toner cartridges. These toner cartridges are top of the line in terms of quality and represent excellent value. Of course, even long lasting cartridges eventually run out and need to be recycled. Toner cartridges are an environmental hazard if not recycled correctly but luckily there are ways to counter this so they do not end up in landfill.

It’s estimated that more than 500 million toner cartridges are produced each year and far too many still end up in landfill. Toner cartridges take over a thousand years to decompose, so the ink you use today could impact generations to come. Those that are burned or dissolved can affect the people around them now. A toner cartridge can be used up to four times, so, reuse and recycling is an effective option.

Toner cartridges need oil to be produced, and it’s a lot of oil. More than three quarts of oil are needed to produce one new toner cartridge. This means that over 375,000,000 gallons of oil are needed each year to produce enough toner cartridges to supply the industry.

It makes sense from every point of view to use recycled and recyclable toner cartridges. As almost all businesses use toner cartridges, this is an area in which small changes by individual companies can add up to a significant difference world wide.
